APPLICATION PROCESS

TIMELINE
  • When we are ready to accept applications we will post links here.​

DEPOSIT & CLASS FEE
  • The class fee is $800.
  • When you apply, a deposit will be collected ($100) via Venmo.
  • If you are not selected for the class, the deposit will be refunded to you, 100%.
  • If you are selected for the class, your deposit becomes non-refundable and the balance of the class fee ($700) is due.

​SELECTION CRITERIA & THINKING

When selecting participants several factors will be considered:
  • Your intention.
  • Your willingness to engage with the process.
  • Your membership in groups that are historically underrepresented in solo performance spaces.
  • It doesn't help or hurt if you are an SPW alum.

WHAT THIS IS:
SPW acknowledges its role as a platform that promotes personal narrative.
As such, SPW can systematically amplify voices that are systematically silenced. The only way to truly support diversity is to make room for it - to cultivate it, intentionally.

WHAT THIS ISN'T:
We do not seek to welcome more BIPOC folks to SPW in an effort help white folks do their own anti-racism work.
